Character Spotlight: Ringotchi

 

today's Character Spotlight is Ringotchi! unlike Pompomtchi and Amiamitchi, who I've posted spotlights on before, Ringotchi is one of the more popular characters in the Tamagotchi franchise. she's appeared in many virtual pets, the movies, most of the anime, and even Tamagotchi video games.

Ringotchi first debuted in the Keitai Katsuu Tamagotchi Plus, and internationally in the Tamagotchi Connection V2. the list of all the tamagotchis goes as follows:

 Keitai Katsuu Tamagotchi Plus, the Keitai Katsuu Tamagotchi Plus Akai, the Tamagotchi Connection V2, the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus, the Tamagotchi Connection V4, the Tamagotchi Connection V5 (as an NPC), the Tamagotchi Music Star, the Tamatown Tama-Go, the Tamagotchi Plus Color (as an NPC), the Tamagotchi On (as an NPC), and the Tamagotchi Smart (Gourmet Friends Tamasma Card Character)

in the Keitai Katsuu Tamagotchi Plus, to obtain her you must take good or better care of either a Hitodetchi or Cheritchi. this only works for the first generation, and for generations 2 and onwards you must take good care of a tier 2 Kuribotchi, or neglecting a tier 1 Kuribotchi. this is the same on the Keitai Katsuu Tamagotchi Plus Akai.

in the Tamagotchi Connection V2, she's obtainable during odd-numbered generations. (1, 3, 5, etc.) she likes fruit juice, and dislikes donuts. she sleeps from 8 PM to 9 AM.

in the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus, Ringotchi is a teen who is part of the Mame Family, and evolves from Mimipetchi with 4 care mistakes. she sleeps from 9 PM to 9 AM.

in the Tamagotchi V4, Ringotchi is a teen who is part of the Mame Family. she evolves from Marutchi with average care, or Puchitchi with any level of care. she sleeps from 8 PM to 9 AM.

in the Tamagotchi V5, shes an NPC that appears in the surfing TV game.

in the Tamagotchi Music Star, she evolves from either Tamatchi or Hitodetchi and can appear in any generation with horrible care. she sleeps from 7:45 AM to 9 PM.

in the Tamatown Tama-Go, Ringotchi is an adult that can be obtained from any teen with average care. she sleeps from 9:15 PM to 8 AM. she also has a Gotchi Figure.

in the Tamagotchi Plus Color, she's an NPC that can be met at The Park.

in the Tamagotchi On/Meets, she's an NPC that can be met at The Tama Farm, a location that exists on all Ons and Meets except for the Pastel Meets. she can also be met in The Park, but cannot be befriended or married.

in the Tamagotchi Smart, she can be obtained when using the Gourmet Friends Tamasma Card. to get her, you must feed your female teen Tamagotchi the Apple Swan Snack the most out of any other food or snack.

she resembles a red apple, with the "Ringo" part of her name meaning apple in japanese. she looks like an apple cut in half, with two black oval eyes resembling the seeds in an apple. she has a white face with light pink cheeks. she has stick-like arms and legs. she has an apple sprout, with a green leaf on it.

she is always honest and will never tell a lie. in the Let's Go! Tamagotchi! web series, she is friends with Ichigotchi and Mimitchi, and is part of the Mametchi Fan Club, along with Makiko and Young Mametchi. 

Character Spotlight: Pompomtchi

 

today's character spotlight is Pompomtchi! in the virtual pets, she first debuted in the Tamagotchi ID L, and the Tamagotchi On internationally. in the ID L, you can obtain her with 0-1 care misses. in the On, you can obtain her with 6 care mistakes, or by being fed the lemon pie snack 5 times. her home is Tamagotchi Town, and her birthday is August 11th. since the ID L and until the Meets/On, she has not appeared as an NPC in any of the other virtual pets, nor the stations. in the Meets/On, she can be found in the Tama Sports Plaza in the Magic, Fairy, Pastel and Fantasy versions, and is replaced by Flowertchi in the Sanrio Meets.

her name comes from the Pom-pom, an object commonly used in cheerleading. speaking of cheerleading, Pompomtchi is very energetic and cheerful, and she loves cheerleading. when one of her friends, classmates or really anybody is down, she'll cheer for them, using the pom-poms attached to her horns. she has yellow skin, with a pink star on her right cheek, as well as blue eyes. she wears a hot pink sleeveless shirt and white leggings, and she wears her hot pink pom-poms on top of her small, curved horns.

in the anime, she enrolls at Tamagotchi School, and is in the same class as Mametchi. she later teaches Memetchi, Lovelitchi and Melodytchi how to cheerlead. she also appears as a character in Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream and GO-GO Tamagotchi!

Character Spotlight: Amiamitchi!

 

today's character spotlight is Amiamitchi! in the virtual pets, she first debuted in the Tamagotchi P's, before debuting internationally in the Tamagotchi Friends. her first anime appearance was in the Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream anime. her home town is Dream Town, and her date of birth is January 10th. since this, she's appeared as an NPC numerous times. she was in the Tamagotchi Friends and Tamagotchi Smart as an NPC, as well as the M!X and Meets Stations.

she has a pink face and red eyes. she has large, light red hair resembling yarn, with a sewing needle sticking out of it, with the needle having a big pink bow on it. this is why she's called Amiamitchi, with the "Amiami" part of her name coming from "Amigurumi" which is the Japanese art of knitting/crocheting plushies. she wears a light red dress the same color as her hair with light pink stitching across the bottom. she wears light brown pants, and her arms and body are a light yellow.

she's a quiet, kind girl who loves sewing. she loves tailoring clothes, and her favorite thing to knit are cute plushies. she and her family have a Tama-Pet named Amipekotchi. at Dream School, she's in the sewing class. her classmates are Pipospetchi,  Hanafuwatchi, Akaspetchi and Spacytchi. she is best friends with Hanafuwatchi. and in Tamagotchi! Miracle Friends, she becomes friends with Clulutchi.

during Tamagotchi Friends' run in the west, a figure on Amiamitchi was released, and came with figures of a stuffed rabbit, a stuffed bear and a sewing machine, in a line that also included Yumemitchi, Butterflytchi and Julietchi.

she's also gotten multiple costumes. in the Tamagotchi 17th Anniversary Contest she got one, as well as a Amiamitchi x Moyashimon costume.

Amiamitchi also appeared in the GOGO Tamagotchi! manga.

Location Spotlight: Uratama Town

 

Uratama Town is a location on Tamagotchi Planet, being home to many characters, such as the Ura-Tamas, like Ura Mametchi, Ura Memetchi, Ura Kuchipatchi, as well as characters like Tougyutchi, Gosutchi, and Kujakutchi.

Believe it or not, Uratama Town is located inside of the mouth of Tamagotchi Planet! this explains why it always seems to be night time here, and the fact that the stars are tied up and hung high up in the sky. these stars illuminate the town below. the river seen in the town is actually drool, and leads outside of Tamagotchi Planet, where it remains in one big dangling blob of drool.

this whimsical town has appeared in many different pieces of media. it's appeared in multiple of the virtual pets, those being the Ura Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus, the 15th Anniversary Tamagotchi ID L, and both the 20th Anniversary Tamagotchi M!x as well as the Gift M!X.

a Tamasma Card based on the Ura Jinsei Enjoi, as well as the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus was released in a bundle with a Tamasma Card based on the Keitai Katsuu Tamagotchi Plus, as well as the Keitai Katsuu Tamagotchi Plus Akai. this card included rooms, items and watch wallpapers based on the Ura Jinsei Enjoi, as well as a minigame based on it. this card included Ura Mametchi as a raisable character, and is obtainable by feeding him the Drooling Water snack more than any other food or snack during the teen stage.

Uratama Town was also an accessible location in the e-Tamago website, which was the japanese equivalent of  Tamatown. unfortunately, just like Tamatown, this website has been shut down. the e-Tamago website can still be accessed on Famitama.com, a fan-made revival of e-Tamago, as well as the Tamagotchi Friends online game and Tamatown. unfortunately, no matter which code you've input, you cannot currently get past the password screen.     (hopefully this changes someday -_- but as of writing this on 12/17/2022, it is unfortunately stuck like this.)

Uratama Town has appeared in multpile games, those being Tamagotchi: Party On!, where it's a location you can play in, and Tamagotchi Let's TV! Play Tamagotchi Resort. in this game, Uratama Town is an unlockable location. there are two games, those being River Race and Circus Run.

in Circus Run, you must collect stars while balancing on a circus ball. and in River Race, you must race in a gondola down the Drool River.

unfortunately, Uratama Town has never been mentioned in the Tamagotchi! anime, nor any of the movies. hopefully, as more media for Tamagotchi is made, Uratama Town will be included more. i'd kill to see more Uratama related stuff, as it's probably one of my favorite locations on Tamagotchi Planet. the colors are so pretty, and the concept of a town inside the mouth of a living planet is super interesting. i love how it's always night there, the night is so pretty. i love it's overall vibe and almost nostalgic (to me, at least) feel!

personal story:

I've been enthralled with Tamagotchi ever since i was 8 or 9 years old, where i was browsing the internet on my ipad since i had just found out the Safari app was a thing, and i was looking at Pretty Cure stuff when i found an image of the Tamagotchi anime. it caught my attention, and ever since then I've been OBSESSED with Tamagotchi.

I'm not really sure what else to put here ._. hope you like looking at my blog!
